Denean Hill joined Laszlo & Associates in 2006 following approximately 4 years of working in government and private practice. Denean began her legal career as a law clerk assisting 4 judges at the trial court level on civil, criminal and probate dockets. Upon completing her clerkship, Denean served as a Deputy District Attorney, prosecuting misdemeanor and traffic cases in Boulder County. Denean left the Boulder DA’s office for private practice and, shortly thereafter, joined Laszlo & Associates. Denean’s legal career follows her service as an officer in the United States Air Force during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and a lengthy career as a Human Resources professional.

In addition to her career accomplishments, Denean was named the Boulder County Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year for 2005. She has been very active with the Association as a co-chair of the Criminal Law Section, and is currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer. Denean will serve as president of the Association during the 2008-2009 term.

Denean brings to the firm her vast knowledge of the Boulder District and County Court system, extensive exposure to criminal and civil cases at the district and county trial court level, first-chair trial experience and an excellent rapport with the members of the local legal and court communities.

Denean received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where she was a Dean’s List scholar, and her law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She is admitted to the State Bar of Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
